For the first time in two years, we were able to hold the YOKOHAMA HOT ROD CUSTOM SHOW. This year, due to the COVID-19 people from overseas were not able to come, so for the next year we will celebrate the 30th Anniversary and we decided to hold the Pre 30th Anniversary YOKOHAMA HOT ROD CUSTOM SHOW 2021.

We made the decision to hold the event in late July. However, a state of emergency was announced and we were consulting if we should hold the event, up to the last minute. And we deeply apologize that we had a late announcement, because of taking time to construct the basis of the show, including the new rules.

We were anxious if it goes well until the day but many people who love MQQNEYES World gathered and cooperated followed the rules such as wearing masks, sanitizing, taking temperature measurements, and filling out the personal information. And we want to thank that we're able to hold the wonderful show all day long. As it was HISASHIBURI “LONG TIME NO SEE” for people who came to the event and our staff, we were able to have an enjoyable day.

From the OPEN at 8:00 AM many people came to the MOONEYES booth. This year is the 6th year to collaborate with the VANS and the collaboration with the BLACK FLYS was the first time and had many exciting limited items at this booth including the Rat Fink Statue. The size of the shop expanded for this year and we tried to make it easy for everyone to enjoy shopping.

If you were not able to come to the show or, forgot to buy some things, some of the HCS limited items are available at MOONEYES Area-1 and MOONEYES Official Online Shop. If you are interested please visit the shop before it gets sold out.

This is one of the topics that were popular at the show. The special collaboration with the Kiyoken is popular with shumai (steamed meat dumplings) in Yokohama. For this HCS2021 Wildman designed the collaboration package for the MOONEYES original fried rice bento box(lunch box). At the venue, there was the Kiyoken booth and many people stop by to buy the bento box. Usually, you will throw away the package but, because it was the special package there were people keeping it and we are glad that many people enjoyed it.

At the side of the stage, there was the 吉野自動車(Yoshino Jidosha/Motors) X MOONEYES VOLVO truck head. People were able to go in the actual truck and enjoyed taking photos. People were surprised when they first saw the actual truck head. For next year’s 2022, we are planning more special events so, please look forward!

The RIDE IN SHOW is changed to 10:00 am. We were not able to invite the overseas guests but, to make it different from the past years we held the RIDE IN SHOW differently.

The first one comes is the HCS2019 Best of Show Motorcycle / Sure Shot / Mr. Aikawa / 1968 Harley-Davidson Early Shovelhead. This motorcycle was the most popular one in the venue of HCS2019. It was really CQQL to see it riding in.

Next comes the Best of Show Automobile for HCS2019 which was the winner of the first time in 6 years, HCS2019 Best of Show Automobile / Deuce Factory & Andy’s Rod Works / Mr. Iwasaki / 1932 Ford Model-B Roadster “K’s Roadster”. It was the first time in two years to see this Show Rod but, its elegance had not faded at all and on the other hand, it had become even more brilliant. There were many people visiting the exhibition space throughout the day.

After comes is SPONSORS RIDE-IN by Harley-Davidson Japan. 2021 HD Forty-Eight which was the first debut in HCS. And next comes the SPORTSTER™ S which equips the new engine Revolution MAX. Moreover, SPORTSTER™’s first model 1957 Harley Davidson Sportster Ride in!

Last but not least is the BMW Motored. R18 Classic ride in which gained popularity from the BMW Motorrad Official Website. And next comes the project motorcycle which was secretly done between BMW Motorrad and MOONEYES. This project motorcycle was built from the rough sketch by Wildman, there are exterior parts painted with a hairline finish reminiscent of the MOON TANK, and a simple pinstripe design was used for this special version.

And the Ride in MC was by Kid Rocker Matsui & Daran from Tokyo Soul. The Ride in Show is safely over and the show starts.

It has reached the 6th year for the VANS x MOONEYES Shoes. Every year there were special purchaser bonuses and this year’s bonus is M2 MACHINES 1/64 scale 1963 Ford Econoline VANS x MOONEYES. At the VANS booth, there was a large panel to enjoy taking photos.

The third model "4Q NOMAD" in collaboration with MAX SCHAAF, who is the organizer of 4Q Conditioning since 2017, has been unveiled for the first time to the world! With the release of the boots, there was 4Q apparel sold at the booth and there were many items that MAX SCHAFF fans will love.
